Councilman Brent Taylor has announced that Memphis Light, Gas, and Water is offering new payment options for its customers.

"MLGW is now accepting payment for utilities over the Internet and telephone," said Taylor. "This service will save time and money for MLGW customers," he remarked. Taylor noted the transaction fee of $1.65 is being absorbed by the utility and not passed on to consumers. Average transaction time will be approximately two minutes.

"Customers wishing to pay for their utilities over the Internet should go to www.mlgw.com. Those who want to pay by phone can punch in their account number and follow the instructions," Taylor stated. He said the payment options are available to both residential and business customers of MLGW.

Councilman Taylor is serving his second term on the Memphis City Council. He represents Cordova and East Memphis.
